Behind the Scenes: Time Lapse Photoraphy / GAME 2012 Advertising Photography Shoot

A unedited time lapse photography sequence shot during last month’s shoot for GAME (Great American Merchandise & Events). Im not sharing this beyond the intern blog as the camera framing is too background heavy and the action is too infrequent but it is a interesting peek how much time 15 people (4 crew, 8 talent, 3 client) spend standing around waiting for a shooting window that you will miss if you blink. The sequence covers about 4 hours. Cool transition from dusk to evening.  You can also see how many light sources required attention…a white balancing nightmare…Sky, pool, house, strobes, tungsten of every temperature possible, florescent, odd landscape lighting sources and of course the product…a crazy mix. I forgot to warn Bryan that my 13 year old would be visiting the set and if she spotted the time lapse going would violate the sanctity of the sequence…repeatedly. Thats her popping in/out and planking in the background.  Its actually my favorite part of the sequence.
